September 17, 2002 on 5:29 am | In UncategorizedThe Eagles won Monday Night Football tonight versus the Redskins. Around the fourth quarter, the Eagles abandonded their sideline and took refuge on the Washington side, after an unidentified orange powder was sprayed on their side. Eagles were coughing and choking and struggling to breathe.
ABC went down to their reporter on the field. She reported (as we could see) that team members were coughing and having difficulty breathing. She then reported that she herself felt a strong burning sensation in her throat.
It wasn’t exactly scary, but it was disturbing. The female reporter made me laugh. Had it been a Leslie Neilsen movie, after stating that she had a burning sensation in her throat, she would have prat-falled face down out of frame.
Five to six minutes later, they finally figured out that police had used pepper spray to break up a fight in the stands, and the wind had brought the spray down to the Eagles sideline.
The moral of this story? Flossing is important.
