March 27, 2005 on 8:53 pm | In UncategorizedFirst things first: Grab.com has finally been released.
I went into work around 10am Thursday and left on Friday at noon.
Of course, the 9pm Thursday launch was about 12 hours later than it had one time been scheduled for. I mean, the decision to start then was made a week in advance, but that was still after I’d purchased a ticket to a They Might Be Giants concert at the House of Blues. The amazing Joe P. at work more than made up for the missed show, by taking me to a San Diego TMBG show near his home. Last night marked the first time I drove 100 miles to see them perform.
Advice
March 22, 2005 on 5:10 pm | In UncategorizedI would advise you never to run your tongue along the edge of a bar.
Such indecency is illegal, and the crime will haunt you forever: It’s a matter of pub lick record.
Kelsey Grammer’s Sketch Show
March 14, 2005 on 5:52 am | In Uncategorized…debuted tonight on Fox. Contrary to the reviews I’d read ahead of time, the show didn’t suck. Seems like they’re batting about 70-75%, which is easily as good as SNL’s ratio.
A tight cast, featuring Chloe from 24 actually being, y’know, likable.
I’m also looking forward to the premiere of the Americanized The Office.

March 7, 2005 on 3:51 pm | In UncategorizedI found Google’s latest feature by accident. I typed “weather 90230” into the search bar, and sure enough, I got the highs and lows for the next five days, and a description of current weather conditions.
Then I searched for my own address, after which Google pointed me to its own special and amazingly JavaScript-y Google Map of the area.
Then I searched for my employer’s stock which Google indicated continues to rock.
I thought that was so cool I wanted to go to the nearest Kosher establishment and brag about it, so I Googled “kosher 90230” to get a list of businesses with “Kosher” in their titles that are close to me.
I thought about seeing a new movie so I Googled “movies 90230” and couldn’t remember a title so I searched “movie: Weird Al” and got the answers I needed.
It’s definitely cool. But can Google keep becoming a one-stop shop (see Froogle, Blogger, GMail, Picasa, the toolbar) of key web features without becoming as Microsoftish as Microsoft?
Time will tell. My prediction: No.
Grab.com
March 6, 2005 on 2:40 am | In UncategorizedI work for Intermix, specifically for our gaming property Grab.com.
Massive changes are underway at Grab.com, with a relaunch scheduled for later this month. The nature of those changes is still under wraps, but you might be able to snag a sneak peek of us working away in the Grab.com War Room — at least come monday: So check it out then.
Once the new site launches, I’ll resume regular blogging.

March 1, 2005 on 3:43 pm | In UncategorizedThat acronym, as you’ve no doubt already guessed, stands for Queer Eye for the Straight Girl Redux.
I’ve written about Queer Eye many times since Lauren was made over by that Bravo show.
But now I have to write about it once more. Our scheduled and then unscheduled episode is now rescheduled.
Lauren’s episode will indeed air, on the following days (check local listings to verify times):
Wed, April 6th @ 8pm and 11pm
Fri, April 8th @ 7pm
Sun, April 10th @ 1pm and 9pm
Wed April 13th @ 8pm
Set your TiVos!
I am prepared to state for the record
March 1, 2005 on 3:37 am | In Uncategorizedthat I don’t think Michael did it.
And I should point out that my sister thinks I’m awesome.
