From the Grab blog: And there was much rejoicing.
October 31, 2005 on 8:00 am | In UncategorizedTiVo has created a new feature — finally — that’s slowly trickling out to a Series 2 TiVo near you.
Overlap protection! That’s write, if an obnoxious network (I’m looking at you, NBC) schedules a show to end at 9:01, TiVo will grant you the option to cut it or the show that starts at 9pm off by one minute so that you don’t miss a show from a stupid one or two minute overlap.
Yay!
From the Grab blog: Happy Halloween!
October 31, 2005 on 8:00 am | In UncategorizedI have repurposed today’s day of costumed mayhem "dress like a project manager day."
See, Conrad has a very consistent way of dressing: It’s always a Hawaiian or plaid button-down shirt, and flip-flops, plus the omnipresent goatee. (See?)
So, today, I’m wearing a bright plaid button down, sandals, and, of course, am sporting a goatee.
And Wemmick and Krustykreme did the same!

October 30, 2005 on 7:00 am | In UncategorizedDear Philadelphia Eagles,
Please try to suck less. I don’t know why I care about football, and when I think about it too hard, the ridiculous of it all becomes very apparent. But I do love football, and I’m a big fan of your team.
But you just lost again today. Fairly miserably. And you really haven’t been playing very well this season.
We were so close to a Superbowl victory last year. And I say “we” because that’s what team devotees do. I was the 12th man on the field, if my yelled encouragement at the television screen means anything.
But it’s very disappointing when you play crappily. And I put most of the blame on my heroic but way-less-than-100% favorite quarterback, Donovan McNabb. Get the surgery, Donovan — you ain’t helping the team at this point. Even if you miss the rest of the season, let Detmer do what he can and we’ll see how the rest goes for us.
Love and kisses,
Lex
From the Grab blog: My Five Biggest Fears
October 30, 2005 on 7:00 am | In UncategorizedMy five biggest fears are:
1. The dark.
2. Car accidents, especially caused by drunk drivers at night.
3. Terrorism.
4. Terrorists causing drunk car accidents in the dark.
5. Kittens.
Okay, so I could only come up with three. Shoot me.

October 28, 2005 on 7:00 am | In UncategorizedI stumbled across this amazing illusion today. Focus on the moving pink dot, and it’s pink. Focus on the center “plus,” and the moving dot turns green — and all the other pink dots eventually disappear! This will truly blow your mind.
I saw another optical illusion today, too. I spotted two more gray hairs in the bathroom mirror at work today. But where I used to let that bother me, I now ignore it. Age — and gray hair — is an illusion.
