Friends With Money

Is an okay movie, but not worth seeing.

I mention this mostly because a) we just watched it, and b) Lauren mocked me for failing to blog more often.

Lauren and I have watched a bunch of TiVo’d movies since the WGA strike tried up most of prime time.

I liked “We Are Marshall.” A solid B.

“For Your Consideration” was great, but not as good as that crew’s “A Mighty Wind.”

“Rumor Has It” sucked less than the reviews said it did. It wasn’t great, but it wasn’t trash.

“Music and Lyrics,” with Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore, was way better than reviews had indicated. I genuinely enjoyed it.

“Man of the Year,” starring Robin Williams as a Jon Stewartesque funnyman who is elected President. The movie couldn’t decide whether it was a comedy, a drama, or a thriller. It ended up kind of crappy at all three genres.

Count the passes between white-shirted players.

    Watch till the end.

    Amazing.

  • “Hide and Seek” is a pretty good movie

Lauren and I have been enlisting the help of our friend TiVo, who has happily obliged. Our friend TiVo has been recording every single movie we ask him to off all the premium channels we receive. One film we watched recently was endorsement-worthy: “Hide and Seek.” It stars Robert DeNiro and Dakota Fanning, and is highly recommended.

    Enjoy!

We Jews just celebrated the holiday of Purim. I really enjoyed this article and its take on Purim: The Movie.

Now that many online college degrees are available, ranging from an online law degree to some sort of online education degree, there is much more flexibility in online degree possibilities. Even if you don’t want to get a whole elementary education degree online you can at least start getting some credits for the future.

Would you, could you, see this flick?
Will Mike Meyers make you sick?
    This reviewer says he will,
That Cat in the Hat is swill
The previews do support this claim
Since the film looks awful lame.

    Or, Elf Dwarfs Crowe

Will Ferrell’s Elf trounced the latest piece de crapola from Russell Crowe, CNN reports.

When movies starring tall funny guys outperform expectations and overpower hyped-up movies from Oscar winners, I have hope.
